Overview

Trusted Medical is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Rapid City, SD to support Veterans transitioning from military service by conducting clinical assessments and evaluations necessary for disability benefits eligibility. The role also involves providing occupational health services under various government contracts, emphasizing a rapid and reliable approach to patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face clinical assessments for Veterans applying for disability benefits
  • Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ) based on clinical evaluations
  • Perform occupational health services including pre-employment screenings and fitness-for-duty evaluations
  • Work independently with minimal oversight while managing assessments efficiently

Required skills

  • Master's degree
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in state of employment
  • Family or Adult certification
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner Certification (to be obtained within 6 months)
  • 1 year of experience in primary care, internal medicine, or occupational medicine preferred
  • Experience with the Veteran population and/or VA and federal health organizations preferred
  • Proficient in Electronic Health Records and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and reliability in a professional setting
