Overview

Rentco Equipment Ltd., a locally owned company with over 60 years of experience, is seeking a full-time Equipment Rental/Sales Representative to join their team in Grande Prairie. The role involves providing excellent customer service, processing rentals and purchases, and maintaining product and service knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and via email
  • Complete store opening and closing procedures
  • Dispatch drivers and equipment to customer locations
  • Process customer rentals and purchases using Point of Rental software
  • Prepare detailed invoices and customer statements
  • Direct customers for equipment pick up and notify staff using two-way radios
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
  • Follow up with customers and conduct cold calling
  • Participate in merchandising and promotional activities
  • Create work orders for damaged or deficient equipment
  • Verify received shipments and report discrepancies
  • Keep shelf selection areas stocked and clean
  • Participate in a Saturday rotation and on-call schedule

Required skills

  • 2-3 years experience in the rental industry or knowledge of construction, forestry, and oilfield equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Time management and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to learn internal software
