Overview

As a Freelance SEO AEO Strategist at SmartBug Media, you will collaborate with clients and marketing teams to enhance SEO performance through best practices and innovative strategies. This fully remote position will involve conducting SEO audits, developing content strategies, and overseeing technical SEO implementations.

Key responsibilities

  • Build SEO services and best practices including keyword research and website SEO audits
  • Conduct SEO audits of client website performance
  • Develop detailed SEO content briefs and map content strategies to the buyer journey
  • Create analytics reports on keyword and site rankings
  • Diagnose and resolve organic traffic and SEO issues
  • Implement Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • Advise on best practices around domain and site architecture
  • Lead technical SEO audits and collaborate with development teams
  • Develop strategies for international SEO and oversee website migrations

Required skills

  • 5-8 years of progressive SEO experience
  • Proven experience developing and implementing SEO strategies
  • Expert knowledge of search engine ranking algorithms
  • Experience with SEO platforms and tools like Google Analytics, Semrush, Moz
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Strong understanding of web development best practices
  • Experience with JavaScript SEO
  • B.A. or B.S. degree required
  • French and English proficiency preferred
