Job Description

Overview

The State of Washington is seeking a FPA3 - Provider Contract Analyst within the Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) to review and analyze health care provider contracts for compliance with relevant laws. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that provider networks are accessible and well-structured, contributing to the public's access to health care services.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and analyze health carrier provider and facility contracts for compliance with insurance laws
  • Perform evaluations of simple to moderately complex provider contracting arrangements
  • Document compliance findings and draft objections to non-compliant contract provisions
  • Communicate compliance issues to health carriers, providers, and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address contract review issues impacting network development
  • Research and provide guidance on provider contracting requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation of contract reviews and analyses
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF) (preferred)
