Job Description

Overview

As an FP&A Analyst at Daniel Defense, you will support the Director of FP&A by delivering high-quality financial planning, forecasting, and analytical capabilities across the organization. This role involves working closely with various departments such as Operations, New Product Development, Sales, and Marketing to provide financial insights and support informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the annual Business Plan process including budget builds and reporting
  • Assist in preparing quarterly rolling forecasts and tracking performance against plans
  • Maintain financial models for short- and long-range planning
  • Prepare monthly variance analyses and investigate variances with department leads
  • Serve as a financial resource for various departments
  • Facilitate scenario analyses and help department managers understand their budgets
  • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards
  • Support preparation of executive and board-level financial presentations
  • Conduct analysis of operational and business performance metrics
  • Assist with financial due diligence and strategic initiative preparations

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work with non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience with Power BI and PowerPoint
  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities
