Overview

The Foundry Worker at Baker Manufacturing Company LLC is responsible for forming sand molds to fabricate metal castings, working either individually or as part of a two-person crew. Safety, attention to detail, and teamwork are critical in this role, which involves operating various molding equipment during the first shift, with opportunities for overtime.

Key responsibilities

  • Form sand molds to fabricate metal castings using molding equipment
  • Lift and move materials, frequently up to 50 lbs and occasionally over 100 lbs with assistance
  • Set up machines including bolting patterns and placing flasks
  • Apply parting agents and sift sand to create molds
  • Follow work instructions and job orders from supervisors
  • Maintain accurate production counts and adhere to safety protocols
  • Keep the work area clean and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
