Overview

Agency 8 is seeking a Forklift Technician for an established equipment dealership in Baytown, Texas. This role involves the inspection, maintenance, and repair of forklifts and material handling equipment, and is suited for a mechanically inclined technician seeking long-term stability and hands-on work.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Collaborate with the parts and service teams
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and company standards

Required skills

  • 1-3+ years of experience with forklifts, heavy equipment, automotive, or related machinery
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of diesel, propane, and/or electric equipment
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems and electrical diagnostics
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and customer-service mindset
