Job Description

Overview

Intellyk Inc is seeking a Forklift Operator in Lunenburg, Massachusetts to safely operate industrial forklifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves tracking loads, unloading trucks, and maintaining accurate records of shipments while ensuring safety and cleanliness in the workspace.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely track and move materials throughout the facility
  • Inspect forklift daily and complete a checklist documenting inspection
  • Load and unload trucks according to customer demands
  • Use an RF scanner for receipts of returns or deliveries
  • Verify counts, quantities, and quality of products and materials
  • Service production lines by delivering products as requested
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the warehouse and loading docks
  • Safely change forklift propane tanks
  • Assist other departments as needed and perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Previous forklift experience in a high-volume environment preferred
  • Forklift driver certification preferred
  • Ability to learn proprietary software for Corrugated Manufacturing systems
  • Basic English reading and writing skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good attendance record and availability for overtime and weekends
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and drive in reverse
