Overview

Xpedient Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator in Joliet, Illinois, to join their team in a fast-paced logistics environment. The role involves operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, to handle diverse warehouse tasks such as loading and unloading pallets and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts for various warehouse tasks
  • Load and unload pallets and cases
  • Pick and stage orders accurately
  • Maintain safety standards and regulations
  • Keep detailed records for inventory accuracy
  • Perform daily equipment inspections
  • Assist in physical inventories and stock rotation
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse

Required skills

  • Minimum of 6 months of forklift and warehouse experience
  • Ability to operate forklifts and perform basic maneuvers
  • Experience with racking systems
  • Understanding of OSHA and safety compliance standards
  • Ability to lift cases weighing from 20-45 pounds repeatedly
  • Good record-keeping and report management skills
