Overview

The Forklift Inbound Day position at Freshpoint in Union City, California, involves managing the inbound produce process in a warehouse setting. The role requires the safe operation of powered industrial equipment and adherence to product rotation and inventory management procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and put away all inbound produce
  • Ensure product is put away in proper rotation (FIFO)
  • Safely operate powered industrial equipment
  • Maintain stocked selection slots and remove empty pallets as needed
  • Clean and sanitize the work area
  • Account for the received product
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required skills

  • Six months experience in a warehouse
  • Proficient in using a stand-up forklift and riding pallet jack
  • Basic knowledge of fresh produce
  • Experience with RF scanners and replenishment processes
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 lbs
  • Strong communication skills
