Overview

Deep South Equipment is seeking skilled Forklift/Heavy Equipment Field Mechanics to join their team in Tulsa, OK. The role involves diagnosing and repairing forklifts and material handling equipment, with a focus on exceptional customer service and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures
  • Repair or replace engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, and hydraulic components
  • Perform tasks in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
  • Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Prepare required documentation accurately and timely
  • Maintain a safe working environment and observe safety laws
  • Work overtime as required

Required skills

  • Mechanics aptitude
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Electrical experience on lift trucks or industrial equipment
  • Customer service skills
  • Heavy machinery repair
  • Automotive maintenance
  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with forklifts or heavy machinery
  • Technical degree in a related field (preferred but not required)
