Overview

Deep South Equipment seeks experienced Forklift Equipment Field Mechanics to join their technician team in Pascagoula, Mississippi. This role involves diagnosing and repairing forklifts and heavy machinery, with opportunities for factory training and advancement within a reputable dealership that has been a leading provider of material handling equipment for over 25 years.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures
  • Repair or replace engines, transmissions, hydraulic components, and electrical systems
  • Perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Prepare documentation such as work orders and time cards
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety regulations
  • Possibly work overtime as required

Required skills

  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with forklifts, heavy machinery, automotive, or related equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Customer service skills
  • Technical degree in a related field preferred
