Overview

Deep South Equipment is seeking a Forklift Equipment Field Mechanic to join their technician team. This exciting role involves diagnosing and repairing forklifts and heavy equipment, providing opportunities for factory training, advancement, and competitive compensation.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures
  • Repair or replace engines, transmissions, carburetors, and hydraulic components
  • Perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Communicate courteously with customers and co-workers
  • Prepare documentation accurately, including work orders and parts lists
  • Maintain a safe working environment and observe safety laws
  • Travel as required for overnight work

Required skills

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Diagnosis and repair of heavy machinery
  • Customer service skills
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Automotive repair experience
  • Field service experience
  • Technical sales ability
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with forklifts, heavy machinery, or automotive
