Job Description

Overview

As a Foreperson with New Mexico Gas Company, you will lead a team in overseeing construction projects related to gas pipe maintenance, installation, and excavation. This role requires a strong focus on safety compliance and effective team coordination to ensure efficient project execution in the field.

Key responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, schedules, and leads assigned crew(s) and equipment
  • Schedules and coordinates daily job assignments and activities
  • Ensures a cooperative and safe work site environment
  • Ensures compliance with safety guidelines, regulations, and company policies
  • Provides oversight for tasks requiring Operator Qualifications (OQs)
  • Conducts and inspects various types of welding on gas transmission pipe
  • Leads or performs on-site welding and pipefitting duties
  • May assume next level of supervision in absence of supervisor

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within one year of hire
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable Operator Qualifications (OQs) within 12 months
  • Backhoe experience
  • Steel/PE welding

What the company offers

  • Pay range of $86,940 to $108,675 based on skills and experience
  • 35% supplemental pay administered according to company policy
