Overview

CoolSys is seeking a Foreman for Refrigeration projects in Cranston, Rhode Island. This role involves leading and mentoring a project crew, managing job responsibilities, and ensuring safe and efficient project execution. Candidates must possess a Rhode Island RJ license and have significant experience in commercial building construction or related fields.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor project crew
  • Prioritize and delegate responsibilities
  • Communicate with tradespeople on job site
  • Track project schedules for efficiency
  • Serve as Lead Technical resource on assigned projects
  • Report on job status and performance
  • Control job costs and maintain productive relationships
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and use of PPE
  • Oversee 3rd party resources and manage apprentices

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to organize tasks and manage time
  • Experience with Project Planning Software (Projectmates)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Email
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Understanding of safety policies and procedures
