Overview

The Foreman Refrigeration - Commercial & Industrial position at CoolSys involves leading and mentoring the project crew while ensuring efficient project completion. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage tasks and relationships with various stakeholders in the HVAC and refrigeration industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor project crew
  • Prioritize and delegate responsibilities
  • Communicate with tradespeople on job site
  • Track project schedules for timely completion
  • Serve as lead technical resource
  • Control job costs and report on job status
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers, customers, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Oversee work of apprentices and journeymen

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED (trade program completion preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related trade
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to organize tasks and provide clear instructions
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in computer tools such as E-Mail, Word, and Project Planning Software
  • Ability to ensure safe work practices and compliance with policies
  • Strong time management and delegation skills
  • Must have Mass RT license
