Job Description

Overview

The Foreman Installation Refrigeration at CoolSys serves as the Technical Lead and Crew Chief on assigned projects in the refrigeration and HVAC industry. This role involves managing project status, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with safety and installation policies while fostering relationships with peers and clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as Lead Technical resource on assigned projects
  • Report on job status and performance
  • Control job costs and ensure efficient use of labor hours
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers, customers, GCs, and subcontractors
  • Ensure use of PPE and application of safe behavior by all employees
  • Oversee compliance of installation policies and procedures
  • May supervise third-party resources

Required skills

  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program or technical school
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related industry
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to organize tasks and give clear instructions
  • Understanding of safety policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in using computer tools including E-Mail and Project Planning Software (Projectmates)
  • Ability to manage time, delegate assignments, and follow through
