Overview

The Foreman Installation Refrigeration at CoolSys takes on the role of Technical Lead and Crew Chief for assigned projects within the commercial and industrial sectors. This position involves overseeing project performance, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with safety policies while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as Technical Lead and Crew Chief on assigned projects
  • Report on job status and performance
  • Control job costs and manage project labor hours
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, GCs, and subcontractors
  • Ensure the use of PPE and safe behavior of all employees
  • Oversee compliance with installation policies and procedures
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to team members

Required skills

  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related industry
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Proficient in computer tools including Email, Word, and Project Planning Software
  • Strong judgment skills for work assignments and ensuring safe work practices
