Overview

The Foreman Installation Refrigeration role at CoolSys involves leading and mentoring a project crew in the installation of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. With a focus on safety compliance and efficient project management, the foreman will ensure timely completion of projects while developing productive relationships with team members and clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor project crew members
  • Prioritize and delegate responsibilities among tradespeople
  • Track project schedules for timely completion
  • Serve as lead technical resource on assigned projects
  • Report on job status and performance
  • Control job costs and request change orders when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations
  • Oversee the work of apprentices and journeymen

Required skills

  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program
  • 6+ years of experience in commercial/industrial refrigeration installation
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong judgment for work assignments and clear guidance
  • Experience with project planning software (Projectmates) and Microsoft Office
  • Track record of punctuality and dependability
