Overview

ElectriCom Inc is seeking a Foreman to lead a small crew in telecommunications and utility construction projects. This role involves providing on-site leadership while performing hands-on tasks such as equipment operation and trenching, ensuring safety compliance and efficient project execution in various outdoor conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a 3-5 person crew on aerial and underground fiber-construction projects
  • Maintain a safe job site and ensure crew compliance with safety procedures
  • Plan and schedule daily work to meet production goals
  • Perform hands-on tasks alongside the crew
  • Conduct job-site and equipment inspections
  • Communicate project expectations and progress with management and customers
  • Support a team-oriented work environment and encourage crew development and growth
  • Travel to job sites, including overnight out-of-town assignments
  • Participate in required training and perform traffic control as needed

Required skills

  • Experience as a Foreman in telecom, utility, or construction
  • 3-5+ years of industry experience
  • Strong understanding of job-site safety practices and utility-location awareness
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and job specifications
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency operating heavy equipment
  • Willingness to perform labor tasks when equipment operation is not required
  • Ability to adapt and solve problems in the field
  • Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to safe work practices
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
