Overview

Leader Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee and manage a crew of electricians in New York City. This full-time role involves planning, organizing, and directing electrical projects while ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee, plan, and manage a crew of up to 15 electricians
  • Organize and plan projects, including assessing material and manpower needs
  • Direct work and inspect installations for quality compliance
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and code requirements
  • Evaluate employee progress and motivate production
  • Train new team members and maintain high morale
  • Document tool tracking, material orders, schedules, and attendance
  • Collaborate with project manager and clients to meet targets and budgets

Required skills

  • Previous foreman experience
  • SST Supervisor Card (OSHA 40 plus 22hrs additional training)
  • Impeccable technical skills
  • Ability to work with tools while overseeing projects
  • Adept at using technology for record keeping
  • Blueprint reading and job layout skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Physical fitness to lift 50 lbs or more and remain active
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Effective leadership abilities
