Overview

The Food Services Area Supervisor at Six Flags Great Adventure is responsible for leading and supporting the stand supervisors in daily operations while ensuring compliance with food quality and safety standards, company policies, and customer service procedures. This role aims to create a fun and memorable experience for all guests in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of stand supervisors and associates
  • Assist in training and motivating staff for high-quality customer service
  • Enforce food preparation and handling procedures according to health standards
  • Inspect equipment and work areas for cleanliness and safety
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of items
  • Foster cooperation among management for smooth operation
  • Troubleshoot issues with staff, equipment, or service promptly
  • Enhance guest experience by maintaining a positive atmosphere
  • Engage with guests to check satisfaction and address any issues
  • Monitor cleanliness and organization of all dining units
  • Provide feedback and support for staff development and performance
  • Evaluate associates for potential promotions
  • Comply with all Six Flags policies

Required skills

  • Experience as a supervisor in a high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to pass ServSafe Alcohol and ServSafe Manager certifications
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods
  • Strong communication skills

  • Familiarity with POS systems
