Overview

The Food Services Area Supervisor at Six Flags Great Adventure is responsible for leading and supporting the daily operations of food service locations. This role ensures compliance with food quality and safety standards while delivering exceptional customer service to create a memorable guest experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of stand supervisors and associates
  • Train and motivate staff to deliver high-quality customer service
  • Enforce proper food preparation and handling procedures
  • Inspect equipment and work areas for cleanliness and safety
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food items
  • Foster cooperation among management for smooth operations
  • Troubleshoot issues related to staff, equipment, or service
  • Enhance guest experience by maintaining a positive atmosphere
  • Address guest concerns in a solution-oriented manner
  • Engage with guests to check satisfaction and gather feedback
  • Monitor cleanliness and organization of service units
  • Provide feedback and support to supervisors and associates
  • Implement coaching and development plans
  • Evaluate associates and recommend promotions
  • Comply with all company policies

Required skills

  • Proven experience as a supervisor in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to pass ServSafe Alcohol and ServSafe Manager certifications
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods
  • Professional, outgoing, and energetic demeanor
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable with POS systems
