Job Description

Overview

The Food Service Worker at SSP in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania is responsible for preparing, serving, and selling food and beverages, while ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests. The role involves various duties including order processing, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
  • Receive payment and process change
  • Maintain, clean, and break down machinery and equipment
  • Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists
  • Organize all work and storage areas, including coolers and refrigerators
  • Perform general and specific cleaning tasks per health standards
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Ability to start work at 3:30 AM
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills for cash handling
  • Food handlers permit as required by law
  • Brand Certification if required
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and POS systems
  • Ability to stand for long periods in confined spaces
