Overview

The Food Service Aide at Career Systems Development Corporation is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, assisting with food preparation and service, and promoting customer satisfaction. This role requires adherence to policies and procedures while working collaboratively with co-workers.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain good housekeeping in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of food
  • Clean and maintain dining room and kitchen facilities
  • Operate dish-washing equipment
  • Ensure equipment and work areas meet cleanliness standards
  • Fill salt, pepper, and napkin dispensers after meals
  • Move and store supplies as needed
  • Attend required staff training sessions
  • Work within established safety guidelines

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Diploma
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Certificate from a culinary/food service training program (preferred)
  • Three months experience in a food service role (preferred)
  • Serve Safe certification (preferred)
  • Personal cleanliness and hygiene
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Basic physical abilities such as standing, walking, and bending
