Overview

The Food Safety and Sanitation Supervisor at Six Flags Great Adventure is responsible for ensuring compliance with health standards by overseeing cleanliness, inspecting facilities, and training staff on proper health practices. The role involves implementing corrective actions to prevent contamination and maintaining up-to-date documentation in accordance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct daily sanitation audits and inspections of facilities
  • Enforce proper food preparation and handling procedures
  • Monitor cleanliness and organization within the assigned area
  • Audit the utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Lead and mentor staff through on-the-job training
  • Ensure completion of necessary documentation such as temperature logs
  • Audit alcohol locations for compliance with identification procedures
  • Serve as point of contact for health inspections and audits
  • Report maintenance issues and collaborate with the Maintenance Department
  • Attend weekly Maintenance meetings for updates

Required skills

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Proficiency in ServSafe Alcohol and ServSafe Manager certification
  • Ability to conduct coaching and counseling sessions
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays
