Job Description

Overview

The Food Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for monitoring key process control points during production operations at Reser's Fine Foods. This role includes documenting and reporting food safety and quality issues to ensure corrective actions are taken within the facility's food safety and quality plans.

Key responsibilities

  • Document and report food safety or quality issues and participate in corrective action determinations
  • Assist with pre-operational inspection of production plant and equipment and related documentation
  • Perform process verification checks at critical food safety and quality points
  • Verify the facility's environment including temperature and sanitizer concentrations
  • Complete Hold Tags and Cooling Tags to isolate non-conforming ingredients or products
  • Conduct and document daily product reviews and evaluate sensory attributes of finished products
  • Maintain records and complete documentation following proper protocols
  • Adhere to and monitor HACCP Program, good manufacturing practices, and sanitation programs

Required skills

  • Associate degree in a science related field or 1+ years in a Quality Assurance position
  • Basic knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety, and Safety requirements
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Basic computer skills including email, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
