Overview

Sodexo's Campus Segment is looking for a Food Operations Manager 1 to lead campus dining operations at the University of Maine at Farmington. This hands-on role focuses on catering services and ensuring high-quality guest experiences while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee campus catering operations including planning, event execution, and quality control.
  • Lead service delivery for various campus events like meetings and conferences.
  • Ensure excellent guest experience and smooth event flow as a visible leader.
  • Assist with retail support and residential dining operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and financial targets.
  • Build strong client relationships through effective communication.
  • Support hiring, scheduling, coaching, and performance management of staff.
  • Participate in menu planning and coordination with culinary teams.
  • Troubleshoot service challenges and ensure daily operational execution.
  • Provide flexible coverage during peak times and large events.
