Overview

The Flow Cytometry Technologist role at KA Recruiting Inc. involves processing and analyzing Flow Cytometry samples independently. The candidate will be responsible for performing standard duties, maintaining quality assurance, training new employees, and adhering to laboratory safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of a Flow Cytometry Technologist I without assistance
  • Display satisfactory clinical competency on standard procedures
  • Meet productivity expectations per departmental guidelines
  • Assist in documentation and maintaining effective department QA programs
  • Train new employees and trainees according to department protocols
  • Validate new methods and handle CAP surveys
  • Address client concerns
  • Exercise laboratory safety precautions and adhere to lab procedures
  • Prepare and present case studies and/or continuing education activities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training and QA programs

Required skills

  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • National certification as Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Specialist in Cytometry (SCYM)
  • Valid Tennessee Medical Laboratory License
  • At least three years of Flow Cytometry experience preferred
