Overview

The Flight Test - Aircraft Maintenance Technician III A&P - 2nd Shift position at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation involves performing various technical functions related to aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure they operate properly. The role requires an A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license and several years of experience in aviation maintenance, focusing on avionics, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft.
  • Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  • Complete work order sign-offs and shift turnovers in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and securely store customer property and equipment.
  • Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of FAA regulations and company procedures.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years aviation maintenance experience
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models
  • Knowledge of technical reference materials
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
