Job Description

Overview

Blue Peak Tents Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician based in Aurora, Illinois. In this role, you will transport event equipment such as restroom trailers, generators, and HVAC units, while also learning to maintain and troubleshoot the equipment alongside experienced technicians.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive event equipment to and from sites
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Coordinate with on-site contacts and adapt to site conditions
  • Inspect equipment on pickup and report any damage
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and preparations in the warehouse
  • Use SOPs to diagnose common equipment issues in the field
  • Document field issues and resolutions

Required skills

  • Valid CDL (Class A, B, or C) with a clean driving record
  • Experience operating commercial vehicles and towing trailers
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness to learn equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Reliable and adaptable to schedule changes
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand tools (preferred)
  • Experience in events, rental, construction, or logistics (preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (helpful but not required)

What the company offers

  • Compensation of $24-29 hourly
  • Standard Monday-Friday hours during off-season
  • 5-6 days/week schedule during event season with overtime
