Overview

Blue Peak Tents Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician in Batavia, Illinois. This role involves driving event equipment to sites across Chicago and supporting equipment maintenance in the warehouse. It offers a pathway into a technical career in event equipment operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Transport restroom trailers, generators, and HVAC units to and from event sites
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on every run
  • Coordinate with on-site contacts and adapt to site conditions
  • Inspect equipment on pickup and report any damage or issues
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in the warehouse
  • Support equipment staging, cleaning, and organization
  • Use SOPs and field guides to diagnose equipment issues at sites
  • Document field issues and resolutions for improvement

Required skills

  • Valid CDL (Class A, B, or C) with a clean driving record
  • Experience operating commercial vehicles and towing trailers
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Willingness to learn equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand tools
  • Background in events, rental, construction, or logistics
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (helpful but not required)
