Job Description

Overview

The Fleet Mechanic Level II at Solitude Mountain Resort is a full-time, year-round role focused on maintaining and repairing a variety of fleet vehicles, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Applicants should have 3-5 years of relevant experience and be prepared to work in diverse conditions while lifting heavy items.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on fleet vehicles
  • Maintain gas and diesel engines
  • Provide quality control for Level I mechanics and below
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics and electrical components
  • Train and mentor Level I and apprentice technicians
  • Assist Level III technicians as needed
  • Perform fabrication tasks
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines
  • Experience with hydraulics and electrical systems
  • Ability to lift heavy items
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Personal tools and tool chest
  • Snowcat and heavy equipment experience preferred
