Job Description

Overview

Blue Peak Tents Inc. is seeking a Fleet Equipment Technician to serve as the primary technical authority for their event equipment, including HVAC systems, generators, and restroom trailers. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining fleet readiness, developing standard operating procedures, and providing technical support, with an opportunity for growth into leadership as the operation expands.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC units, generators, restroom trailers, and other event equipment
  • Develop and implement field-ready SOPs and inspection checklists
  • Train and mentor team members on equipment setup and troubleshooting
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field issues on Saturdays
  • Conduct pre-deployment inspections and maintain documentation
  • Create training materials for off-season cycles

Required skills

  • CDL Class C license
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, HVAC, or related trades
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in the field
  • Experience operating commercial vehicles and towing trailers
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
  • Preferred: CDL Class A (or willingness to obtain), background in HVAC or power systems, experience in SOP writing, bilin
