Overview

Progressive Roofing is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent in Flagstaff, AZ, who prioritizes safety and productivity. The role involves providing leadership to foremen, ensuring efficient installation of roof systems while maintaining high-quality standards and professional customer relations.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise foremen to lead safe and efficient roof system installations
  • Oversee field staff and assist foremen with crew leadership
  • Conduct daily site visits and safety audits
  • Train field staff in safety, work skills, and efficiency
  • Provide ongoing feedback to foremen regarding job performance
  • Resolve complaints and assist with disciplinary actions
  • Discuss professional development opportunities
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and recommend raises
  • Ensure production and quality goals are met
  • Track labor hours and production against goals
  • Schedule materials and manage inventory
  • Monitor material usage and minimize waste
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors
  • Review plans, delegate crews, and pre-job planning
  • Submit reports and coordinate communication between office and job sites
  • Investigate incidents and provide documentation
  • Participate in manufacturer final inspections

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three years of commercial roofing experience
  • Considerable knowledge of commercial roofing systems and materials
  • OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction site development
  • Experience in estimating materials and directing roofing projects
  • Ability to read and interpret roofing plans and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
