Overview

The Fixed Route General/Division Manager will oversee the overall operations of the Fairfax Connector’s West Ox Division, focusing on ensuring safe and reliable service delivery while managing team and contract performance. Key aspects include employee oversight, financial performance, risk management, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between local management teams and the General Manager across multiple operations and maintenance facilities
  • Lead development and implementation of driver assignments and fixed route operations
  • Oversee dispatch operations to ensure service reliability and compliance
  • Implement and manage progressive discipline processes for employee development
  • Monitor daily operations and performance for efficiency, safety, and service quality
  • Develop and execute operational and resource allocation strategies
  • Champion a strong safety culture and establish safety as a core value
  • Manage division work plans including staffing models and key performance indicators
  • Lead transit-related projects and cross-functional teams
  • Ensure customer and public needs are met through responsive service
