Overview

FOX Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time Fitness Specialist to lead group exercise and personal training for older adults in a Senior Living Community in Rockville Centre, NY. This role is ideal for a personal trainer or exercise science graduate focused on healthy aging and functional fitness.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead group classes and personal training sessions for older adults
  • Grow the wellness program and increase resident participation
  • Collaborate with therapy teams to support resident wellness
  • Educate residents and families on wellness program benefits
  • Travel to patient residences and expand into additional communities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Exercise Physiology; or Certified Personal Trainer certification
  • Experience or interest in working with older adults
  • Strong communication skills for presentations and education
  • Ability to travel between Senior Living Communities
  • Current CPR certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
