Overview

KVCAP is seeking a Fiscal Specialist to join its growing Finance Department in Waterville, Maine. This role involves administering accounts payable and accounts receivable operations while providing essential financial support across the agency. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the smooth functioning of the fiscal office, positively impacting the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer and process accounts payable and accounts receivable operations
  • Provide day-to-day financial support to all agency areas
  • Collaborate with Finance team members and agency staff
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records
  • Work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively

Required skills

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or Business Administration (preferred)
  • 3-4 years of accounting experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective time management
