Overview

Kennebec Valley Community Action Program is seeking a Fiscal Specialist to join its growing Finance Department. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable operations while providing financial support to various agency areas in a fast-paced environment, making a positive impact on the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer and process accounts payable and receivable operations
  • Provide day-to-day financial support to agency staff
  • Ensure smooth operations of the fiscal office
  • Work closely with Finance team members
  • Maintain accurate and organized records

Required skills

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
  • Three to four years of accounting experience may substitute for a degree
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management skills
