About the Position At the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC), our mission is simple but impactful: to protect consumers, the public interest, and our state's economy through fair and efficient regulation of the insurance industry. Our Fiscal Unit plays a vital role in fulfilling that mission by ensuring the agency's financial operations are accurate, transparent, and positioned to support sound decision-making. As our Fiscal Analyst 5, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, helping guide strategic financial initiatives while leading a talented team committed to operational excellence. This is more than a fiscal management position-it's an opportunity to influence agency-wide decisions, lead complex financial projects, and help shape the future of state government. You'll oversee critical fiscal functions including accounting, procurement, contracts, records management, and cash receipts while driving continuous process improvement and supporting major enterprise initiatives such as the statewide OneWA implementation. Your expertise will help ensure compliance, strengthen internal controls, and deliver innovative solutions that improve how our agency serves Washingtonians.
