Overview

Anderson Dahlen is seeking Finishers to perform various metal finishing operations, including grinding, polishing, and quality control. The role requires adherence to safety standards and the ability to work with hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment located in Ramsey, Minnesota.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform rough grinding, polishing, and metal finishing operations on components and assemblies.
  • Follow safety practices and OSHA requirements.
  • Examine metal surfaces for defects and imperfections.
  • Set up and operate finishing equipment like sanders and polishers.
  • Select proper abrasives and finishing methods.
  • Read and apply blueprints and work instructions.
  • Maintain quality of finished goods throughout the process.
  • Use measuring tools to verify surface finish requirements.
  • Develop and standardize finishing processes.
  • Train and support other finishers.

Required skills

  • Experience in metal finishing techniques.
  • Familiarity with grinding, polishing, and abrasive machining.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards.
  • Ability to operate industrial machining tools.
  • Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints.
