Overview

Fisher Investments is seeking a CFA Level 1 holder to join as an International Investment Counsellor, servicing high-net-worth clients in Canada from the U.S. This role is designed for experienced finance professionals looking to build strong client relationships without the burden of sales prospecting, as the firm emphasizes a separation of sales and client service.

Key responsibilities

  • Build trusting and professional relationships with Canadian clients
  • Proactively connect with clients quarterly to review asset allocation and long-term financial goals
  • Educate clients on portfolio strategy, investments, market events, and competitive landscape
  • Work with internal teams to deliver the best service to clients
  • Gradually build a roster of high-net-worth clients

Required skills

  • CFA (passed any level)
  • Series 65 (assistance provided to obtain upon starting)
  • 4+ years of experience in portfolio management and client relationship building
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Consultative approach with an emphasis on client focus
