Overview

Finance ManagerWe're partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization in Houston that is seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Manager to join its leadership team. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting strategic financial planning, and partnering with leaders across the organization to ensure long-term financial health and operational excellence. What You'll Do: Support the Finance Director with financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range financial planning. Analyze revenue opportunities, expense trends, and operational efficiencies to support strategic decision-making. Track financial performance and ROI for productions, fundraising initiatives, and earned revenue activities. Prepare revenue and expense forecasts for ticket sales, rentals, concessions, parking, and other revenue streams. Maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks and oversee month-end close activities. Prepare monthly financial statements and perform account reconciliations. Reconcile ticketing and contribution activity with accounting records while partnering with internal departments to resolve discrepancies. Support donor, grant, and development-related financial reporting. Assist with payroll processing, annual audits, IRS Form 990 preparation, and 1099 filings. Research credit card discrepancies and chargebacks and prepare required financial surveys and reports. Process ACH and wire transactions and oversee monthly corporate credit card reconciliations. Prepare materials for Finance Committee and Board meetings. Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and special projects. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization. Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting. Understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and financial compliance preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information. Why This Role?
