Job DescriptionField Service Technician - Windows & Doors San Luis Obispo, CA (Serving Santa Maria to Paso Robles Region)Milgard Windows and Doors, part of the MITER Brands family, is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our team based in San Luis Obispo, CA.This role services a regional territory from Santa Maria to Paso Robles, offering a strong opportunity to connect with customers across the Central Coast. In this position, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair window and door products while delivering a high-quality service experience.If you're hands-on, experienced in field service or construction trades-or eager to grow your skills-and take pride in solving problems and delivering great customer outcomes, we'd love to hear from you. With manufacturing facilities across the , we are proud to serve our customers with integrity, innovation, and excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair window and door product issues in the fieldTroubleshoot service concerns and determine root causes (installation, product, or performance-related)Perform repairs, adjustments, and part replacementsServe as the primary technician on service calls, ensuring timely and professional resolutionCommunicate clearly with customers to explain issues, solutions, and product careAccurately document service visits using company systems and mobile toolsFollow work orders, schedules, safety protocols, and company standardsMaintain clean and organized service vehicles, tools, and work areasEnsure customer homes and job sites are left clean and restoredManage and track parts inventory as neededDevelop knowledge of MITER Brands product lines, installation methods, and warranty standardsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredExperience in window/door service, installation, carpentry, glazing, construction, or related field (level will be determined based on experience)Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitudeAbility to work independently and problem-solve in the fieldProficiency with hand and power toolsExcellent customer service and communication skillsComfortable using mobile devices (iPad/tablet) for documentation and schedulingBasic computer skills (email, data entry)Valid driver's license with a safe driving recordBilingual English/Spanish skills a plusReady to Join the Team?If you're looking for a hands-on role where you can grow your skills, work independently, and make a direct impact on customer experience, apply today to join Milgard Windows & Doors and MITER Brands.What We OfferAt MITER Brands, we invest in your health, wealth, and wellness.
