Role Summary Our client, a leading provider of electrical power testing and engineering services, is seeking Electrical Field Service Technicians (Level IIIV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment across utility, industrial, commercial, and data center environments.This is an excellent opportunity for experienced electrical testing professionals who enjoy field work, prioritize safety, and are looking to grow their careers within a technically advanced organization. Placement level and compensation are based on experience, certifications, and technical expertise. Candidates with strong hands-on apparatus testing experience are encouraged to apply, even if they are not currently certified. Key Responsibilities Electrical Testing & Field Services Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing of medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment in accordance with industry standards.Test, troubleshoot, and evaluate:Low- and medium-voltage switchgearPower transformersCircuit breakersProtective relays and electrical protection systemsFollow established electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and applicable electrical safety standards.Conduct electrical hazard assessments when required.Diagnose equipment deficiencies and recommend corrective actions. Documentation & Reporting Analyze test data and communicate findings clearly.Prepare detailed field service reports and testing documentation.Provide timely project updates to internal teams and customers. Team Collaboration & Leadership Work independently or as part of a field service team depending on experience level.Mentor junior technicians when applicable.Support project execution while maintaining quality and safety standards. Required Qualifications 28+ years of electrical testing or field service experience (level dependent)Hands-on experience testing medium- and/or high-voltage electrical equipmentStrong understanding of electrical power distribution systemsFamiliarity with industry testing standards and electrical safety practicesAbility to interpret testing procedures and explain test resultsExperience preparing field service reports and technical documentationValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningWillingness to travel up to 50% based on project needs Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications such as NETA Level IIIV, NICET Electrical Power Testing (EPT), or equivalentCandidates without certifications who possess strong hands-on apparatus testing experience will also be consideredExperience using electrical testing equipment such as Megger, Doble, Omicron, SEL, or similarExperience with PowerDB or comparable reporting softwareOSHA 30 certificationCPR/First Aid certificationExperience leading field crews or mentoring junior technicians Ideal Candidate Profile Successful candidates typically have:Extensive hands-on electrical testing experience rather than solely electrical maintenance or construction backgroundsExperience working with medium- and high-voltage equipmentPractical knowledge of industry-standard testing equipmentAbility to explain testing procedures, interpret results, and troubleshoot equipment independentlyExperience producing comprehensive field service reportsStrong communication skills and a safety-first mindset Schedule & Travel Full-time field-based positionRegional travel up to 50%, depending on project requirementsTypical travel schedule may involve weekday travel with weekends generally at homeOvertime opportunities available based on project demands Compensation Compensation is based on experience, certifications, and technical expertise.Level Typical Experience Hourly RangeLevel II Approximately 24 years $35$60/hrLevel III Approximately 58 years $65$75/hrLevel IV 8+ years $75$85+/hrBenefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company match
