Overview

ElectriCom Inc is seeking a Field Service Mechanic in Greenfield, Indiana, to provide maintenance and repair services for utility construction equipment. The role involves working both in the shop and in the field, using a company-provided service truck to address technical issues and ensure equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on various utility construction equipment
  • Conduct thorough inspections to assess equipment conditions
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issues
  • Replace components and complete repairs to ensure equipment functionality
  • Document all service, repair, and maintenance activities accurately
  • Maintain professional interactions with colleagues and customers
  • Complete required training assignments as scheduled

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems
  • Trade school graduate in diesel mechanics preferred
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred
  • Ability to manage daily activity reports electronically
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with safety rules and service/parts manuals in English
