Job Description

Overview

The Field Service Engineer at United Medical Systems will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of mobile medical equipment, primarily focusing on URS Holmium Laser units and additional urological surgery devices. The role requires travel to customer sites and a commitment to maintaining high service standards within the healthcare sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete all service training provided by UMS and respective manufacturers
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to regulatory and manufacturer guidelines
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using diagnostic tools
  • Submit service reports and expense reports weekly
  • Travel up to 20% overnight as required
  • Maintain company provided service vehicle
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment
  • Respond to service calls and perform necessary work per UMS protocol
  • Maintain 24/7 availability for communication
  • Track and order spare parts as needed

Required skills

  • 2-year degree in electronics or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience in field service repair or engineering
  • Understanding of electronics theory
  • Proven experience working with electronics and schematics
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Fluent in English for communication
