Job Description

Overview

The Field Safety Administrator at PacifiCorp will manage and facilitate safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for employees. This role includes leading safety committees, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate local safety committees and emergency response teams
  • Consult and educate employees and management on safe work practices and regulations
  • Develop safety and health risk assessments and job task analyses
  • Analyze hazards and potential risks in accordance with regulations
  • Implement processes and policies to minimize risk
  • Inspect facilities and equipment to identify safety hazards
  • Investigate industrial accidents and determine preventive measures
  • Review and assess employee safety programs for adequacy

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or related field
  • Minimum of five years experience in Industrial Health or Safety
  • Knowledge of State and National Electrical Codes and OSHA standards
  • Strong analytical and investigation skills
  • Program management and development skills
  • Proficient in personal computers and common office software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse teams
