Job Description

Overview

As a Field Quality Associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of quality and reliability for Team Quality Services' customers, primarily in the automotive sector. This position serves as the primary liaison between automotive service locations and their suppliers, focusing on continuous improvement and timely resolution of quality-related issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with supplier and service location personnel.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier parts at the service location.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set and implement supplier quality performance objectives.
  • Recommend process improvements and corrective action plans to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
  • Rapidly identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of customer quality issues.
  • Provide technical support to customers and service location staff.
  • Document and update information in software systems.
  • Promote the Company's core values and comply with health/safety training requirements.
  • Travel to Company facilities and customer locations as required.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Understanding of quality management systems (QMS) including ISO and TS 16949
  • Technical expertise in quality assurance and supplier management
  • Proficiency in quality analysis tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
  • Ability to use measurement gauges (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Skills in data analysis and documentation
  • Ability to adapt to changing work demands and schedules
