Overview

The Sr. Field Mechanic at MYR Group will travel to project sites across Northern California, Oregon, and Washington to support field teams. The role involves performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs, while ensuring exceptional customer service. This position offers potential career advancement in the Fleet Department.

Key responsibilities

  • Travel to customer job sites for equipment repair and maintenance
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on various types of fleet equipment
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance inspections
  • Identify mechanical problems using visual inspections and diagnostic equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and time spent on each job
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operate vehicles and equipment safely
  • Participate in training programs and maintain safety skills

Required skills

  • Five years of experience in heavy truck, automotive, or equipment repair
  • Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Knowledge of mechanical tools and testing equipment
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Basic computer or data entry skills
  • Understanding of regulatory safety guidelines
